Hi
After FlashDen entering in contact with us about the Gaia Framework we’ve decided to share our view and position about this issue with the FlashDen community.
There is no license to use Gaia Framework, you just access the Gaia Framework and download one of the versions for free. What you are obliged to do is leave the identification text inside the classes supplied by Gaia, which we have done.
About giving support to Gaia Framework.
We’re very specific in the product description and in the support manual of the Pro Xml v1 that the template package is restricted to the sections included there and that you don’t need Gaia Framework to edit those sections, just need to have some knowledge on Flash.
We also refer that, if you want to add new sections to the template, you can try to do it, by using Gaia Framework or not, it’s a buyer’s choice. As you may understand, we’re not responsible for what buyers want to add to the template but for what is inside the template and so, we base our support on the included features.
To meet our final conclusion, we don’t think Gaia Framework support should pass by us for the reasons demonstrated before and also because we don’t have control on an application we haven’t developed.
We have decided to develop this template with Gaia Framework because we believe it is a good structure for our applications and decided then to explore those capacities in a big community website like FlashDen. Nevertheless, this is a very normal Flash website which users can customize just by simple Flash edition, not needing Gaia at all.
Thanks for your understanding,
Triworks.net team
