Why are asking for help here? =\
If you’ve really bought the theme on Themeforest go ask for support directly on item’s page discussion thread.
I personally don’t mind if someone promote my items w\o my permission (but only if he or she isn’t connected with “piracy” sites). And I don’t care if someone is making money using Envato referral system. Rather I want to say thanks to these guys for providing additional traffic to my items.
Wow… one of the authors is Brandon R. Jones (epicera) ...and the other one is Jeffrey Way. I want this book… Thanks for sharing, cdogmx
I think you can give away some items (or part of an item) for free (the questions is how many times?) in order to promote yourself. Why not? It’s not like you’re going to sell them anywhere. It’s promotion and it give benefits to both sides (Envato and author).
I hope Envato could clear this and give us more detailed answer.
If you don’t want to have a lot of problems, you should consider buying a Mac. PC sucks in all ways. It isn’t a computer for a comfort work. You should have a lot of free time and some technical knowledge to make it work well. With a PC you’ll get a lot of questions like – What driver should I install to make my game\program works? or What antivirus should I choose? or Why my Photoshop\game\other program took a long time to load? or What should I do? I lost all my data… etc.
Get a Mac. Save some money and buy a MacBook Pro (if you want a notebook). You won’t be disappointed.
Then you’ll be able to use a powerful computer that works under awesome user-friendly Mac OS (whose usability CAN ’T be compared to any of Windows OS). You won’t be asking yourself why this program\game doesn’t work… or how to restore all lost data… Also with a Mac you don’t have to worry about drivers, anti-viruses etc.
I too spent some of years working on a PC. But after I’ve tried to work on a Mac, I decided that I would never go back to a PC.
And I don’t understand why everyone so obsessed with hardware at first place… Yes, you can buy a PC with a kick-ass hardware for the same money. But the truth is that the OS is more important than hardware. Hardware has no meaning if system doesn’t work right with it…
So… once again, get a Mac. You won’t be disappointed.
Happy Birthday Kailoon and Alex! Have a wonderful day!
