I agree the idea is interesting, and if Tinman were reworking files I think most people would be comfortable with that. But I’d be uncomfortable with just anybody doing it. And then who would be responsible for support?

use absolute urls for everything. This includes the XML , CSS and image paths declared in the XML file. Then see if that works.

I guess it depends on how you view your work. If you view it as an expression of art you wouldn’t want somebody coming along and finger-painting all over it and claiming it as an “upgrade”.

I think the best way to learn is to just make stuff. I remember my first AS3 site. I just dove into it and when I needed to figure out how to do something I just referenced the web. It’s amazing what you can find by just typing, “AS3 how to….”

Only thing is McDonalds is the owner of both the extra value meal AND the super size meal. I doubt they’d allow Burger King to come along and say, “We’ve taken the Bic Mac and added our special sauce and we’re selling it for more money”!

You’ve got me thinking. I built the cube using BitmapMaterial but I think if I used MovieMaterial then maybe I could apply mouse events to each MovieClip used for each material. I’ll keep you posted.

Every file I’ve ever uploaded is reviewed on average in 3 days or less. I fail to understand the rush?
