In fact there are a lot of quasi-duplicated items from same authors, just because they want to earn from an update. Create an ‘updated list’ of items to give to buyers a separate view of updated items (pretty much like versiontracker)

Pezflash, I understand your point and respect your opinion. And thinking about relevance in this marketplace your opinion is much more relevant than my ideas. But, I was talking, as Chuckanucka said, in a very low benchmark, something like less than 3 sales in 3 months…. What do you think?

Just one more thing: I understand that this post is for improvements that would be relatively easy to do and Lance already said that cleaning up the library is complicated and is running. But I wanted to say that the cleaning, in my opinion, is important too. And cleaning is different of update the files, because this would make the library full of “same thing files” again.

It’s great to see that Envato wants to really do something to make AD a better place for Authors and recover sales numbers.

And yes, including Templates, Galleries, Players and all other stuff. It’s impossible to make great sales if your file got lost in tons of “same thing” items after 5 days in the homepage.

And if I was a buyer, when I make a search or go to a category and find 6, 7 files that wasn’t great. I just don’t buy it. If it repeats 2 or 3 times I just don’t return any more. That’s why cleaning up the library is important as rejecting new “same thing files”.

I know, that great and veterans Authors don’t like the idea of losing some files. But think, it’s much harder for an author who has 10 files losing 2 or 3 of them than an author who has 500 files losing 100, 150 files. It must be the Authors contribute to the process.

Just my thoughts here.
