That’s what I’m looking for. The only problem is that this will only work on iOS6 and Safari. And I don’t want to create fallbacks to older versions and different browsers
Why no one created a plugin/script to do this for iOS and Android?
I wouldn’t worry about that. iPhone 3G is no longer around ( or if it is, there are way way way way to few to even bother ) and the 3Gs supports iOS6, also, everything above it!

Yep, without making promises, that’s the general direction we’re headed — proving authors insight to improve their items/documentation/etc, and also to try weeding out “irrelevant” ratings.
Did we ever tell you we love you? This news is absolutely great!

Yes, it is what I use quite for a couple of years since the tutorial was published here: http://webdesignerwall.com/tutorials/css-elastic-videos and it works perfectly. Just I changed a little css to:.video-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56%; width:100%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; }Removed padding-top in px at all and changed padding-bottom to 56%.
Leave it there!
Some mobile devices really need it! Don’t ask me why, but there have been mobile templates that gave me nightmares!

It’s a nightmare for mods (or at least for me)! I check the forums, after 5/6 refreshes the forums crash!

I’m seeing many templates coming out recently that have videos cut up in responsive mode, and that looks awful on mobile phones and tablets because there is no solution, right? Actually there is!
HTML Markup
<div class="video-wrapper">
<div class="video-container">
<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/6284199?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0"></iframe>
</div>
<!-- /video -->
</div>
<!-- /video-wrapper -->
CSS Style
.video-container {
position: relative;
padding-bottom: 56.25%;
padding-top: 30px;
height: 0;
overflow: hidden;
}
.video-container iframe,
.video-container object,
.video-container embed {
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
}
Try using this little thing for responsive templates guys! It looks so much better on handheld devices!

Same here! And from what I’ve asked on the FB group, I understand this issue is happening in the Netherlands, Austria, Philippines, Mongolioa, Bulgaria … still waiting on a official response though!
