If you have Photoshop CS5 , you can export FXG first, and then import it in Flash CS5 . To be able to export fxg from Photoshop, go to http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/photoshopcs5_fxg.html and install the extension. Before exporting, go to File>Scripts>Simplify layers fro FXG .
Ilya.
What if to set the initial values to some variables, and then use them instead of getting width/height every time?
Oh oops I didnt see you told him to try the uninstaller first..my bad
Uninstalling FlashPlayer is such a pain sometimes, that i see no harm to suggest it twice
maybe the process will run more smoothly then:)
As i understand Lance is trying to install it into IE (flash player for FF is a plugin, and not ActiveX, if i am not mistaken).
I had the same problem some time ago. Though did not try to fix it. Maybe Try to disconnect from the internet during installation procedure, or uninstall all Flash players with uninstaller (available on adobe)
Either way, you’re now aware of the rules so you should be good to reupload your file.
Thanks for the help , Lance. Actually, the real reason of this thread was not just telling to the whole world that my file was rejected, but to discuss the situation, when the rules are not clear. As to that info about crossdomain policy in wiki. I think you are wrong. The cross domain policy allows flash to communicate with another server which has this crossdomain policy file, and not vice versa, so if the flash from author’s server wants to call activeden server, this is your server which needs to have this crossdomain file. And if the flash and php hosted on the same domain, there is no need of policy file (BTW, i did not see that top bar on files hosted on authors’ servers). So, i still think it is right about my issue
Though that FAQ was a little confusing, it said exactly what I said earlier. You’re supposed to fake any PHP functionality with static content. If for whatever reason it can’t be faked, you can host it on your own server.OK, Lance, then how you will clarify this part of the WIKI
______
For Flash to talk from activeden.net to the PHP application on another domain the Author must add a file called crossdomain.xml with access permissions for activeden.net.
______
When do we need (accept the situations when we need to communicate with server-side script which is not located on the same server) to use the cross-domain policy file? Actually, this is the official info on envato site, so, why should i ignore it?
PHP files are not allowed in previews. If there’s a PHP file or if your Flash references PHP , it will get rejected. Just in case it wasn’t clear, I’ve updated the upload instructions to specifically mention PHP . In the case that the PHP cannot be faked, you can host the file on your own server, but those cases are very, very rare and you need special permission.
Lance, though it is not so easy to find specific issue in WIKI , i knew that we can not uploaded php scripts with preview. Well, i did not do it. All php scripts are located on my own server, which also has crossdomain policy file. Again, i want to link to the wiki page where it is stated that we can use crossdomain policy file, which i guess is only the case when preview hosted on activeden uses scripts hosted on another server:
here is the link http://wiki.envato.com/?s=php
and here is the quotation from wikiFor Flash to talk from activeden.net to the PHP application on another domain the Author must add a file called crossdomain.xml with access permissions for activeden.net.
Marco, is it possible that you as the previous reviewer of the file will review the file again right after i will resubmit it (not waiting for the whole queue), because I think i have clearly proved that the file was rejected against rules?
