I dont think front page exposure has any large impact on sales, hardly any of my sales came during the time it was on the front page. Even looking at the current items on the front page, most of them have 0 sales.
Its a decent idea but the review process would take even longer if it was implemented.
Its actually a neat idea, if its truly possible to eliminate screenshots then it could make it a lot more difficult for giraffe sites to promote the items.
If they resort to linking to the items directly for preview purposes, maybe envato can block traffic coming from giraffe sites and anonymous redirect services?
I think it could hurt sales.
Instead of just purchasing an item, customers may decide to ask questions first, by the time they receive a reply it’ll be too late and they wont need the item.
I may be wrong but its a possibility worth thinking about.
unrelated: Is it just me or is the top microlancer advertisement not closing after clicking “x CLOSE”?
Its been the worst week i’ve experienced
I agree, the quality standards should be higher. It will make a much better impression to the buyers and increase their interest. A lot of high quality items become lost and don’t gain the attention they deserve, it discourages the quality designers. I really think the reviewers need to become more strict, it will encourage the skilled designers and buyers in the end.

Do you all, by any chance, have ad-blocking plugins installed? We’ve had a problem the last couple of days where ad-blocking plugins would suspend the loading of all our javascript for at least ten seconds. We’ve deployed a workaround for this now.
If you’re still having problems, please do open a support ticket. When you report a problem, we need a way to communicate with you to find out more details and help us track it down. The forums are really not a good place to do that.
Did you guys get rid of this workaround or something? I’m having the same problem again…

I was having trouble accessing the site(I was being redirected to a blank page every 10-20 seconds)...the problem is now fixed, i’m guessing it had something to do with recently added javascript code or some sort of tracking script.
There is some new javascript code that was added yesterday throughout the site which may be the cause of the problems. I currently have to disable javascript to browse graphicriver, I constantly get redirected to a blank page.
