I recently read an article about how Apple was completely re-thinking the Mac Pro. I couldn’t have imagined this though… can’t wait to get my hands on one!

Sales are a little on the slow slide for me but nothing to complain about yet. Summer just started so get ready for a bunch of sad faces around here.

Actually, all things considered, June has been a strong month for me so far. Usually this is the beginning of the slow season, but it might be possible that the site problems we were experiencing last month may be causing customers to come back to get what they need now that everything is functioning again.

Of course, it’s just a theory though. From the sounds of it, most authors are noticing the slowdown already, so I may just be getting lucky right now. Keeping my fingers crossed that June turns out to be a good month.

I’m beginning to wonder if the term “anti-trust” comes into play here. Adobe must know that they have a monopoly on the content creation market, and wants to tap into their customers’ wallets on a monthly basis through the “upgrade by gunpoint” method.

I’ve probably mentioned this a few times already in this thread, but the main issue is the entire lack of choice Adobe is providing its users. The feeling of “pay your $50 this month or you won’t be able to work” doesn’t sit well with a lot of people, especially the small, independent freelancers only need access to 2 or 3 programs instead of the entire Creative Suite, and would rather save up to buy full versions of the software they need when they are ready to do so, instead of feeling like Uncle Adobe has his hand perpetually in his or her back pocket.

Without getting too political, the new subscription model feels quite un-democratic, strips us of our freedom of choice, and makes it all seem like Adobe is a supreme leader that we all must obey.

On the technology side of things, the CC looks amazing. I have yet to switch over, and I eventually will. This is simply inevitable progress and innovation in the realm of software.

I just with Adobe would provide a second option to those folks who think forking over $50/month for the rest of their creative careers is a little tough to swallow.

Bottom line is, we have a policy to no longer accept 3D extruded text projects. That type of project is listed in the “Projects We Don’t Need” (http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/382)

And yes, we do still accept some logo/text extrusion projects, however only if they are EXCEPTIONAL in both design and execution, or display a completely different method of execution that the marketplace hasn’t yet seen.

Unfortunately, your project looked like the dozens of other extrusion projects we see on a monthly basis. If we accepted ALL of those projects, we would have a sea of extrusion projects that all look the same. Do you think yours would stand out enough to generate those sales you’re talking about?

I’m happy to hear your project was accepted on other marketplaces so that your time didn’t go to waste.

footagecentral… read the posts above. You can have more than one account, but multiple accounts are reserved for when an author wants an exclusive account, and a non-exclusive account. Multiple accounts aren’t permitted for selling different types of media.

Plus, having one account means your commission rate will increase faster as an exclusive author.
