Posts like this should be deleted, it just depresses me :) I know it is still early for 3dOcean and it will get better once we are over the 1000 models mark but it’s still depressing.

Anyway lets all keep our heads up and make it work.

3dOceans I believe will be better than most of the other sites coz of the quality control and good pricing. I have seen people uploading a sphere to other sites and trying to sell it for $5000.

Hello everyone!

Recently a report has come to me that there are some problems when browsing to authors portfolios. Is anyone else experiencing problems in this area? If so please let me know and also tell which browser and OS you are using.

Cheers!

Matthias
I have taken a bit of time to try to duplicate this error…. all seems to be working for me… no problems here!

Try searching for tabaheee and you might get this error.

I think he actually left this marketplace or got ban, I found him on another site which by the looks of things is a direct copy of Activeden but does not seem to be an envato marketplace.

@VexBlade Yea, our 3d print section is supposed to be for objects like on shapeways.com

Thanks Daniel,

I think this needs to be made clear to all the users coz by the sounds of things a lot of people thing it is 3d objects that get printed for designs.

I doubt Matthias_ is going to get those speakers printed as actual 3d objects :)

Anyway thanks for the heads up im sure it will save some of us a lot of time.

Hi Guys,

Ok I am alittle confused with the 3d print section.

Is this section for hi res 3d objects that can be printed like on paper or is it actually 3d printing.

Like design something and get it printed in 3d as an actual object ?

Like this site http://www.shapeways.com/

I really like using materials from over http://www.vray-materials.de/ , but i use their collection for my own renders, since i cant sell their textures on here. But anyways, i just wanted to ask around where do you guys get your commercial free texures from? There are plenty of textured models on here. Do you guys make the textures urselves, or do you guys have licensed use? Please share :)

I am not 100% sure if it is allowed but I think with a website like http://www.vray-materials.de/ you can use the materials for your preview then just include the links to the relevant materials in your help documentation. Technicaly you are then not distributing the materials http://www.vray-materials.de/ should actually like this coz you would be advertising for them :) But yeah as I said I am not 100% sure this is allowed by 3docean or http://www.vray-materials.de/

I think this is a great idea but I don’t think that the preview needs to be the same for all software. I think it would be nice if C4D , Max, Maya…. all had unique previews so that when you’re looking for materials you will know what software it is for just by the preview. If no one is creating a preview for max I would be happy to give it a try.

Hi! Could anyone tell me is possible to make 3d animation from *.ai file?

http://stashbox.org/828040/adobe_forum.jpg

You can import the vector file into max – I believe it comes in as a spline. From there it has been my experience that welding of vertices need to take place.

If it is a simple flattened box as you are showing it would probably be easier to just build in Max to begin with!

Correct it will come in as a spline but make sure you save it as illustrator 8 or older. Max does not like illustrator CS3 or CS4 not really sure why but it does not work.

I think it would be easier with the .ai file since you have created it already. If you didnt have the .ai then yes I would say just do it in max.

Hope this helps.

If you take the file into 3ds max and animate in max then yes. If you mean you want to animate it in illustrator then I am not sure but I think no.

If you imported that file into max as a single object you can then convert it to editable poly then animate the different sections. I’m guessing that it is a box that will fold closed ?

Hi Harnas,

I have just looked over your code very briefly and noticed 1 small thing but I am not sure this will fix anything.

t.htmlText ="<span class="reg">some sample text <b>bold</b> <i>italic</i></span>";

On the above line you have <span class="reg"> and not "reg"</span>

This could possibly be causing your problems but as I said I have not really taken a good look.

Let us know if this resolved the problem.
