wowdg, congratulations!
I have a question, and you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to: How has been a featured author impacted your sales?
Cheers.
Very good discussion. Like mentioned before Envato is not a non-profit business, so they are here to make money just as we are. I figure they price items taking into consideration a quality vs. demand vs. opportunity ratio. In other words, you may have a special quality item but they price it a little lower because they think it could raise your sale volume and end up with the same amount of $. A lower price item tends to sell more, give the author more visibility and of course generate more $ sales. We need to understand the prices are set by humans following some all-around guidelines, but they probably play around with prices to see how the marketplace reacts. They are learning day-by-day how purchasers think and react to pricing. I have two items currently published, my first item was priced $5 which surprised me. My second item, which falls in the same product category, is in my humble opinion much better than the first one, still it was priced only $2. In this case, did the lower price of second item make any difference on sales: NO. Anyway, it is a quite complex equation and Envato needs to adjust their guidelines everyday probably.
Cheers.
Yep… I second all of you! Congratulations to all reviewers, we know how demanding is to review all the submitted files, and you guys are doing a great job!
Congrats buddy! Sometimes it takes longer than we expect, others just come right away, but the important thing is that it is just the beginning! Cheers.
You know…. it makes me so happy to read/hear people say they have quit or stop doing what they did before to start doing what they really love….I feel that way… and it really maks me happy to see other people do so.
Congratulations to all of us!!
Now, regarding the time…. I guess we all need a 72-hour day and a 14-day week….that should be enough….LOL
Congratulations… well deserved!!!
Welcome buddy!
Congrats…. way to go!
I wonder if the recent tsunami of new files isn’t causing this feeling. It seems sales were diluted..
Congratulations! Keep up with the great work!
