Hi everyone, I have to be quick here so forgive me if I’ve missed any extra details. I just wanted to quickly pop in on this thread.
The concept proposed here isn’t new and is something, among many other concepts, considered for the team. There are pros and cons to each different concept applied to reviewing, staffing, etc. as well as other aspects to consider for the whole of Envato. There are benefits to the proposed concept, but there are also drawbacks, which is why it hasn’t been implemented already.
Having said that, our two current reviewers have moved to full-time and we are hiring another full-time ThemeForest reviewer. Our two current reviewers used to split across to GraphicRiver and will be full-time for ThemeForest only. The time dedicated to new item reviews is being increased as well to provide more thorough inspections and more specific feedback.
With that said, items are typically reviewed in under 48 hours, usually faster. Considering the size of ThemeForest, this is very good.

When something is rejected can it be re-submitted as an EDITED version? Or will I have to wait a full 12 days again?
When a soft-rejected item is resubmitted, it goes into the second priority position in the queues. This is the priority order: updates > resubmissions > new submissions. So you most likely won’t have to wait as long to have your item reviewed again.
Keep in mind, however, that different reviewers have different skill sets and thus do not access all queues. So queues can sometimes appear to progress differently depending on what state your item is in and what category it was submitted to.

admiral_adictus saidI would recommend submitting your work regardless of the delay in the queues. Here’s why:
Will it help if we’ll keep our files for now? or do you still advise us to submit our works?
- You want to have them reviewed anyway.
- If you’re not submitting them but plan to sometime later, then it means we have more workload (the amount of items consistently being submitted) than we can see. We want to know about that extra work so we can be sure to hire enough people to consistently review it.
Thanks!

Haven’t commented on this post as I have been trying to be patient, but i have 2 items in the queue and i am afraid of uploading new ones. Is there any idea when things will return to normal…a timeline of some kind. Will it be another month, 2 months?I know the team has been hiring, but would still like to hear of a timeline.
Thanks
I’d love to be able to confirm a more specific timeline for you but I’d rather not set expectations that, due to the unpredictability of hiring and training, we may not be able to meet. I can, however, assure you that we are working hard and getting the queues back to normal as quickly as possible.
Thanks for your patience everyone!

Yes, i think it will has serious impact if they not gonna solve it soon. 1 month is 1 month. Is this problem only on GR or other marketplaces as well?
Others as well. There has been lots of growth, which is exciting for both our authors and our buyers!

Hi jremick i am a european democrat, and thats why i like more to discuss topics in open, public, democratic structures than to negotiate them behind close doors / tickets. I hope thats OK for you too. We received the mail from your Assistant Review Manager. We will come back on that later this day. see you Regards axel
Hi bydlo2,
We are big supporters of transparency and openness as well, but this isn’t an issue of discussing topics in the open but rather discussing them via the appropriate channels. The forums aren’t here to serve as a support system and it’s a difficult place for us to help you best. It seems, however, that what you’re doing here isn’t attempting to request help from us but rather bring about an unnecessarily heated discussion.
If you would like to continue discussing your concerns via appropriate channels (we’ve already contacted you via our support system), I’m more than happy to help.
As this thread doesn’t serve the forum’s purposes well, I’m locking and closing the thread.

26 days and still waiting…
The item in question had a special case request that we needed to hear back from several staff from. You will hear from the team within the next day or two. If you don’t, get in touch with me. Thanks!
