Where on your site can I access the tutorials? I’d be fine with buying some but I don’t know where to look. Thanks

So basically what you’re saying is, it’s too expensive for a beginner to do any of this, and if I want to save money I get what I pay for. You may be right.

In terms of what the developer is making, these are still pre-made themes, templates that can be designed once and used again and again by (hopefully) many customers. The more customers who get help and are satisfied, the more money a theme developer makes. What Envato/ThemeForest should do is either have help available to the common WordPress user or encourage their authors to do so themselves.

Yes, WordPress coding is NOT for beginners. It does not make sense for someone like myself to design their own theme. I wouldn’t dream of it. However, it does make sense for someone like myself to use a template or premade theme of some sort, which is exactly what I’m doing. Heck, there are plenty of perfectly good free ones available, the fact that I paid for mine must mean something. I thought it meant I’d be able to get a little more help here….

Hello, I am a new WordPress user and absolutely have to jump on this bandwagon.

I installed a theme which will remain unnamed for the moment – anyway it has been nothing but headaches. It’s always something that breaks or doesn’t work or that I have no idea how to fix myself. I can’t access the code, which in a way is a good thing (because I can’t be stupid and break things) but I also have no control. I feel as if I’m at the mercy of the developer.

To the developers credit he has been reachable and has a support site, however he is not responding to me. I suppose my questions are too stupid, but in that case I’d be fine with finding help from another source. I would love to be able to get some general help with both WordPress and this theme. However it seems that everyone in WordPress land is very technical and everything is far, far over my head. He has no recommendations for me and I don’t know how to find this information on your site.

So, unless I am able to find some help somewhere, I will definitely not be recommending WordPress, Themeforest, Envato, or (theme yet unnamed) as useable for anyone who is not already a CSS and PHP code jockey.

I’m actually considering uninstalling the theme I purchased here and starting over.

What a waste of money and time…...
