I need that a movieclip plays and when it reaches the end frame, where I placed a stop, some other clip do something else.

I came up with this code, but is not working, not even the trace thing. Sure is somethig stupid I’m missing… any help? }

Ok, I found the issue which is making me crazy. The reader needs to be in the root. But I need it to be inside some movieclips… is there any way to fix this and cheat to tell the component and make it believe it is in the root?

Thanx for the answer, rondog… the truth is that I have always found solutions here… is weird nobody knows the answer. But is weird tha a file that works fine starts to behave weird when is loaded into a movieclip

But I really need to figure out why this thing is going on because the client asked for that feature in the site. I have tried and bought the other rss reader on the site and the same thing happens with the spaecial spanosh characters. I’m begining to panic fearing there is no solution. I can’t believe none of the master genious around here knows what to do Please people… a hint?

No ideas? I really need to solve this… any idea, even crazyy ones to try to solve will do

Which works like charm. I solved the issue with the spanish characters (á, é, í,ó, ú, ñ etc. ) As I always do, going to the text field and embeding them. I use the “for readability” option an it all works fine. Works whaen I publish the file all alone, Buuuuttt…..

When I put the same file into another (via loadMovie) or attach it from the libary or just simply put it into another movie clip, the spanish characters won’t show….

I have tried the usecode stuff but is not solving the thing. Ideas?

(Man!, I’m so tired of that problems with those characters… someone at adobe please do something!) In case someone at adobe reads this
