My life is always good when I don´t have too many thoughts.

This is a very funny month. First week was one of the worst since perhaps last august. Second week was almost a record week. This week is about average. Normally I don´t have such big ups and downs.

Already 4 sales in march and it is still february here. March 2012 was a good month for me and I hope it will be this year. And perhaps even the sun will show up here in germany after months of grey sky. Wish you all many sales.

Wow! 800$ is fantastic. Have to agree with MotionRevolver. If you could get a 24-70mm for few money go for it. Quality is great.

I looked up the prices of the lenses I would have recommended to you and unfortunately almost all of them are 1000$ and up. The only one I found close to your budget is the EF-S 15-85 IS USM from Canon which I want to buy myself next year. I think the lens works on 7d but if you want to upgrade later to a professional canon like 5d it won`t work on it.

Otherwise I think the lens you mentioned in your first post will produce absolut acceptable quality.

I`ll try. But it would be helpful to get some information on what you like to shoot. Is it nature, macro, model, studio, scientific-like reproduction, etc.

From example images I saw image quality is good for that price. But as Andrey says wide angle is not that good. So it depends on what kind of video you want to do. And I read that the lens tube is ascending if you are holding the camera up or down. I can imagine this could be annoying.
