ROAR!
sweet thanks for spear heading it man. The ukelele was a joke at first, but it seems like it is a good place to start. I hope others will take it serious and it can grow into a nice informative series. Like I said I don’t have a Uke so I cannot be of much help there.
If one thing I think would be great to is if you put your song link with that includes that Uke setup so people can hear it can decide “Oh, this is the style I want!” or not and try something new.
I will now get out of the way and let it blossom or fade.

Well it seems like the ukele recording techniques might be a good place to start actually. I don’t have a uke or mic, so if people who have done it can share their techniques and their tracks featuring their technique I think that would be a good way to get the ball rolling. A new thread would be appropriate.
So someone can buy, download and then reverse the sale? I hope I am wrong.
I am curious if we as a community could begin an audio technique / education thread?
Like we could start with one topic such as EQ’ing, Compression, recording Ukelele (haha) or something and then each person could share their approach and theories. Maybe 1 topic a month or bi-weekly.
I know this stuff can be found throughout the internet, but it seems like it might help.
Thoughts?
Not to be rude, because I think it looks nice… Sleek and shiny… but I also feel it just looks like a copy of many other people here in the Jungle, not saying your doing anything wrong. Just seems a bit cliche like the 50 others I have seen very similar to it. If that works to your advantage I imagine we will all be making the switch and push for something similar… I am sure people will watch your sales now.
Damn, that is a dream. Your music sales buy all that stuff?

to think that some items really shouldn’t be approved ? Really cheap midi sounds or guitar not well tuned… It’s nice to stay open and I don’t want to be rude but there should be a minimum quality required but sometimes it’s really really low…
You know what is funny some times… I think there are some buyers that want “bad” music, because “bad” music has in some way become “good” music to them and maybe their primary target audience, friends, etc. Also, sometimes the crappiest sounding curbside instruments can carry a lot more emotion than a properly tuned guitar with spot on fingering…
I wouldn’t play new age in a country western bar, and I wouldn’t play techno video game music for people who expect the opera… However, some 8-bit Dubble-Wubble-Wub-Wub Glitch Tech-Step for some angsty hormonal teenagers… Hell yeah! Why not?
Who knows… some of the top authors have a personal photo… May help create a connection with the buyer. On the other hand, it may creep some people out.
As for Art-of-Sounds response: “If you were an H-sized blond chick then I would assume that putting your picture as an avatar might have some impact on your sales.”
Come on… really…
