Hello everyone,

I want to raise the Joomla themes sales on Themeforest and i need you’re help.I want to know how most people like to use the Joomla themes. For example, how do you want to add products to a shop page ? Using several shortcodes to achieve a tabbed shop page or just fill some fields like the ones i showed in the image in this thread .

Other information that could help me is what features do you want?Shortcodes, custom pages , custom themes for articles,etc. Please post all you’re ideas regarding a Joomla theme and i will try to integrate all of them in my next themes.

joomla+jseblodcck is a good choice for Joomla 1.5, but with the Joomla 1.6 you don’t need any content extension.Please look at the attached image to see how a simple plugin can add a lot of options to a new article.

I think it depends on what you want to do.Some extension made for Joomla 1.5 are not available in Joomla 1.6.If you want to further discuss this question please feel free to contact me by mail and i can help you get an answer.

Besides the index.php , additional “Layouts” files need to be created in order to create different pages like portfolio or shop using the normal article system.

I must say that Joomla is a lot more flexible than wordpress.A developer can implement all the wordpress features in Joomla .

@campuscodi have you tried joomla 1.6 ? I just started to convert a theme of mine into Joomla 1.6 and with the help of a plugin created by me i can do almost anything i want to Joomla (Custom pages,Custom article options,Different layouts….as i said…almost anything).You mentioned also about SEO and laggy..i must say that Joomla has made a lot of progress with the 1.6 theme.

I forgot to say that Joomla 1.6 can have shortcodes just like wordpress does

In conclusion, i recomend Joomla for creating websites.
