I’m going to leave this thread open Frostbyte, because you have a very good point, amusingly illustrated.
There are several hundred users of videohive and envato is basically set up to give you constant goals and landmarks, whether it be badges, paws, round numbers of sales, birthdays etc. If every author advertised their every landmark on the forums, then it would be a dull forum indeed.
OK, if it’s some big event like getting a gold paw / becoming the top author on Videohive or having the top selling file on Videohive, then maybe fair enough, but I have to say I’m pretty bored of Congratulations posts.
What do other people think about this?

“Very good point, amusingly illustrated.” +241
Also some of the threads could be moved to “Off Topic”...i’d like to see more good discussion concerning motion graphics instead of “funny links”

May be it was better to make the overall theme “Achievements” and “Today’s Birthdays”, because I agree with Felt. I also note for themselves the my achievements, but simply doing a screen shot, for example when I had 500 sales or 300 followers etc. Simple chronology of events.
Agreed with Wayman and Felt
I’m sorry guys but I disagree with everyone.
This community is a great community. Maybe anybody else has something better to talk about, but some authors are really engage to share their achievements. It not only happens here in VH but in other marketplaces.
Achievements threads must remain and keep stimulate them (it’s even “healthy” for the forum) if you guys get “bored” a little bit of these, a better idea is to move these threads to the “Off Topic” section.
Have an awesome day!
