another logo/splash page critique

Hello all. I too would like some fresh eyes and thoughts on a logo/splash page I am working on for my design co. I know it is too complex to use small in every scenario but for a large print or splash page would it work. I think I will try putting some blue in the UR letters and having that see through white show up like the red letters. Thanks for any time, ideas, thoughts you have time to offer

I don’t think this kind of logo suits a design studio. It looks like a logo of a music band or may be something else

In fact I do make teeshirts and the top part of the logo the eagle was on a shirts and hoodies and the old splash page logo was on shirts I made as well. cool you said that . I think I will make shirts for this one as well. The site behind the logo is 3 years old so I am building a new website to show our current work and also sell the clothing we made the last year. Making shirts shure is messy though.

But the real meaning behind UR23 has more thought to it. in specific the 23 genes that make up who U R Hence UR23 design. It is design that reflects What makes up who a individual or business is. Like the 23 genes make up what a human is. U R made up of 23 genes. So its a design concept that takes into account everything that makes up a person or bussiness into account when designing for them. Also all the other mystical things about the number 23 are cool. Also I have another business I started first called Uncharted Realms that focuses on hip hop, skratching, and extreams sports and graffiti. The UR also stands for Uncharted Realms which is who I am.

Yes I agree I really need to get away from the Stencil Font. I started to use it because I like stencils and deal with graffiti but I want the illustrator who I partner with to draw me original letters for this design.. So maybe soon I will get him to draw it.

You are right Saffi I think it pigeon holes me into a box using that flamboyant style. And I have a strong music background so maybe thats how i arrived there. but really i just threw it together from two drawings and a old ur23 design logo. Thanks all for the helpfull critique

While I got some great Attention how about a bit of critique on the banner for the new site. I have a feeling a lot of people will not like how busy it is but I just wanted to go for a Word Cloud type of thing that lets people know what I do. Kind of like sell services right up front. I only installed the blog and template I am modifying last night so the rest of the design is not in place yet. but I am going to stretch the thumbnails out the whole width of the content area I think.. Or I may go back to 3 columns of thumbnails.. Is the banner to much?

Actually I might make the main Logo for the UR23 Clothing line instead of Design Studio. Thanks for triggering that thought guys
