hi graphicriver folks

I’ve been thinking a lot about getting the new Intuos4 Small, instead of a Bamboo Pen&Touch.. basically I wanna do lots of things like sketching, drawing, inking, writing, coloring, photoshop’ing, illustrating….

the price is affordable and it has lots awesome features like the precision mode, short-key buttons, zoom/pan wheel, the grip pen…

are you using one? are you having some good experiences with it?

for those who don’t know what I’m talking about > http://www.wacom.com/intuos/

I am. I have a Wacom Intuos 4 Small and it is absolutely fantastic (sensibility, touch, customizations, handling, price).

So if you want to get serious don’t waste your money/earnings on a bamboo fun table. (the name already suggests a less professional performance)

I hope that helps.
Regards,

Chris ;)

thank you for this awesome advice Chris, that helps a lot :)

my only worry was the size, but I guess that’s just the perfect format, as you don’t move your hand too much… my local store has them by today or tomorrow, so I gotta run in and get one myself, christmas is early this year B)

anyone else?

In this case, size isn’t really a biggy. The tablet’s surface adapts to your screen. And as you said, you can do much faster and shorter moves (drawings).

DanielKeller if you’ve never used a tablet I strongly suggest you not to begin with an Intuos 4 but to start with a “easier” and cheaper one. You have to consider also the possibility that you don’t like a tablet or it’s not really what you was expecting…

I strongly suggest you to try it before buying it (if you can)

So if you want to get serious don’t waste your money/earnings on a bamboo fun table

I don’t really agree with you here buddy I think it’s a great product and honestly most people don’t feel that much difference between a “fun” and and an “Intuos” ! Specially if it’s the first tablet.

I think that is a really great tablet. I am using a Wacom Cintiq 12WX and I love it. Don’t want a different one. Although this one is a bit expensive so if you don’t have the money then the Intuos is a great choice.

Go for it.

Two hands up for Intuos 4! And not only hands but legs too for Cintiq, of course… if you have the money :)

But either way you won’t go wrong…. ;)
