As someone new to this site (i have my fist submission in queue now) I have noticed there seems to be a LOT of submissions built in AS2 . I’m wondering what your reasons are for not switching to AS3 ? Are you trying to target buyers running older version of Flash? Or do you find AS3 ‘too difficult’. Just curious!

this site has been around for a while so thats why there is alot of AS2 plus alot of people believe it or not still buy AS2
so developers use it to get the sales still…
stick with AS3 though

Market is still occupied by AS2 around 75%.
So, to increase up my sales I am coding same file both in AS2 and AS3 .
AS3 in no way seems similar to AS2 , it takes more effort than AS2 and increases the coding in such a way that a 10KB swf file becomes 12KB.
If I submit them together then I am doing double work for a single benefit because price cannot be doubled from $10 to $20. Also, if a buyer asks me a question then I will have to reply him for both and if it was a simple request then again, I will have to do it in both.
Now, should I upload two versions separately to get more sales, better price and separate support? Please anyone from staff suggest, as I am just going to put my next upload.

I felt the same way when I first started to work with AS3 . Now whenever I work with AS2 I get a pounding headache

You did not comment on the full line.

By effort, I did not mean that AS3 is too difficult for me. I meant about the time taken. Obviously, you have to put more time into it when code increases by 2 KB on 10KB.
Edit: My only question here is that… should I submit two files separately or upload them together in one file. Because I am waiting for an upload.

Sorry dude, I didn’t mean to imply this.

I reuse a lot of classes with AS3 . I find this saves me a lot of time compared to working with non-class based AS2 .
