Hi,

I found a backtrack from this site on my blog. Then I looked some futher, and he did a very bad thing: He changed the referral link to his activeden account. I hope you understand that I am very pissed about the fact I spend a lot of hours coding and creating stuff and he is just using my stuff to earn easily money. But then I looked further, he scraped more links from activeden and uses others creations for referral purposes. He could be using your stuff too. I have already send him a mail to remove my stuff from his site.

example url his site with my game, and his ref-link [link removed by mod]

I have already send a mail to the owners of flashden/activeden too. The user is called [removed by mod]. If you google a bit, you probably can find his real name too. I hope they will block your account soon, since this must be illegal.

Man, what are you talking about? He can promote any file with his referral, he isn’t stealing anything from you, he’s promoting your files… you should be happy :)

What’s your problem?

He’s not doing anything bad, he’s just bringing in more users to your files, potential customers, many authors including myself would welcome that kind of free advertising ;)

It’s perfectly legal (and as others have said, good for business) provided it is not done from a site where the poster has to own rights to the work he links (eg Adobe Exchange)

I welcome it and I practice it when needed. Loads of templates can bring easy money to me from referral for example. The community needs more members. How do you think it got so big in the first place? Good files being referred by other members. This is common practice. There are tons of blogs with other reffs using this method.

The user must not be banned for this! It is not illegal whatsoever. He is just advertising your files, for free, but he is getting the referral cash for himself because he uses the link. What would you like him to do? Advertise your file and use your referral as well? Use some common sense mknol.
