So I made a theme a while ago on a framework I found online. The theme turned out nice (in my opinion), except it didn’t really turn out to have many supportable features. Mainly a customizable toolbar. I really am new to making themes in WP, so I definitely don’t think I could start from scratch.
Anyone know of a good framework for WP themes that has a lot of features? Either free, or paid.
What do you mean by framework?
Like a current theme and then just editing it?

Pretty much, except the theme has no Style or anything. It is just basic. But has all the features.
Some I’ve tried weren’t good, and didn’t support stuff I wanted.

start from scratch
others peoples code is still other peoples code, if you want something create it plus youll learn a ton of things you never new in the process
EDIT : also what features are you looking for itll help more to give you a framework that will suit your needs
Here is a list of pre-stripped themes:
Pretty much, I want a theme with good navigation. I think I could do pretty much everything else. Just need a navigation bar widget area thing at the top area thing. I don’t know.
It’s really best to build your own.
You’ll have a better understanding of how it’s structured, how it works and it’ll have the included features and functions you want.
If you rely on pre-built templates or modding existing themes you’ll never really grow as a developer and you’ll always be playing catch-up.
It might be tempting to use a framework or template as a starting point but it will only hold you back in the long run. Just look at theme sales, the copycat themes never sell as well, look as good or have the number of features as the trend setters.
Be a trend setter not a copycat.
