Update 23 March 2008.

This updates comes with new functionality and bug fixes. Please read the help file for the rest of the items.

1. double click = turns fullscreen on/off

2. support for logo (vectorial for resizing based on the player size) added = can be turned on/off in the flashvars. The variable name is hideLogo. The logo needs to be added inside the fla file, on the layer that holds the logo. This way it cannot be reused by others that take the swf file.

3. support for autohide (cpanel and mouse) – the variable name is autoHide == “true”

4. Support to pause/play the video by pressing the SPACE key (when not in fullscreen mode – not supported by Flash)

5. I added the variable “status” which will confirm that all variables are loaded from flashvars and I can init the player. This variable always needs to be set to “loaded”. I had some bugs that have been fixed with this new approach.

6. Bugs on resizing fixed (there have been some people complaining about some sizes not being supported, and I changed this so it works with any sizes)

7. I added a loader for buffering. There has been a request for this also.

8. Small size player hides control panel, so that the items don’t overlap anymore. The minimum width is 275.

Thanks. I added autoHideTime=5. You can set any number of seconds for the autohide.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see a difference in the file from the original one for the modification below. Should a buffering message come up after the user initiates playback other then the bar preloader at the bottom?

Yup. The loader for the image should display on buffering too.

Is it possible to also have an option to toggle fullscreen mode so that when set to “no” will disable the full screen?

Yes, you can embed it in an existing page. No need for a separate window.

My main issue is incorporating the full screen capability with what I already have working.

Does your player allow it to be incorporated into another flash movie, and scale just the video? Not the whole .swf?
