Never mind bobocel. I guess i got pissed off because there’s so many dummy files floating around here & mine got rejected even thought it’s better than some that are already on.

If i offended you… i abstain politely

Well how do you know i’m not reading & arguing at the same time??? If you’re too dull to do it, it doesn’t mean i can’t, hehe! I didn’t start the thread because of you & i didn’t ask for you opinion so get off my case! (politely)!

Clap Clap Clap Clap :)

I don’t mind, but I want to make sure you understood.

Is it me the one who approved those files? Your answer should be: NO. Is it me the one who rejected your file? Your answer should be: YES .

I also told you I would reject all of those files if it was me the approver, and that I would also like to clean the flashden library a bit.

Hope you actually read what I write (as robwes19 just said: first of all assive your not listening). Saying “Never mind bobocel” doesn’t help.

Glad you all agree with me we should review the library sometimes soon. Things like this wouldn’t happen anymore. (assive, I understand your frustration)

Hey, I’m not sure how you guys determine if a file is low or high quality? Is it just a personal preference? Because that is not good. Maybe there should be a set of characteristics that the staff can put together to determine a “low quality” or “high quality” file and let it be known. That way people can design things accordingly. I mean i know it is pretty easy to compare to files and see which has better quality. It can be a common sense thing, but if there is some sort of set characteristics like a checklist that all the approvers can abide by, it will be better and more professional.

That way when a file gets rejected because of the quality not being good enough, there can be some reasons and explanations to point out to the author. Just saying “quality isn’t high enough” with no details makes it seem as though its a personal preference from the approver, and that is not professional.

Does this mean if say richardson or collis were approving it, and they didn’t think it was low quality based on their own personal preference, then it would be approved? I think all approvers should have the same set of rules, characteristics, checklist.

of course, if you guys do have a system for determining quality of a file other than personal preference, then cool. Otherwise maybe getting a more refined system would fix all these little conflicts and problems

I think going through flashden and cleaning up a bit is a great idea, but at the same time may offend some authors.

One thing for sure: if you have a problem with the approving process or an approver, contact THEM personally or contact Collis through support.
