Business card printing

Hey gals and guys!

I am new to print design and had my first bad experience with a business card printing company. The cards I got were very dark and hard to read because the quality was very low. So I have some questions:

Do you have any experience in business card printing? Which companies offer good quality on the cheap?

I would like to hear some words from some experienced user and also would love to get some links

What program did you design the b.card in? Was it designed in CMYK color mode? Was it at 300DPI res?

I design in Photoshop CS3 and yes I choosed CMYK and 300dpi. I used a template from GraphicRiver but modified it. I mean I changed the whole design and only copied the settings like color mode and dpi. I am no new to design only to print design.

So I just need some quality printing companies for my upcoming projects.

Ok. Well unfortunately I am not familiar with German print companies.

After you have modified your business card for print, you export it as a high res PDF . If that was done correctly and it still came out bad then it’s the printers fault.

Okay thank you! My problem was that the outcome was very dark but in PS it looked much brighter.
