Can some one please riddle me this?

I have been thinking about this for a while and just recently, I went to submit an app to code canyon and it was the last straw. I want to know why and how reviewers for code canyon and/or other market places can co-op as a app reviewer and an author on the site at the same time. I see this as a huge conflict of interest and possibly a scam. What stops the reviewer from rejecting and item then taking the intellectual property i.e “The app” or the “idea” of the app, then submit it them selves? I have no idea if this actually goes on and I’m not accusing, but I am interested in hearing if other authors have this same thought/issue and if code canyon can please answer my question regarding this.

Envato trusts them so why not you trust them aswell .

Thanks for commenting. I’ve tried, I sent them a support ticket and I have yet to hear back from them regarding my submission.

This has come up before so you can search for some previous threads, but basically we hire great and ethical people to do the job, and reviewers simply wouldn’t be able to get away with this. Believe me, they come under more scrutiny with their items and submission process than anyone because of their position. Reviewers are allowed to be authors and submit items as is anyone else who signs up.

If you ever have any concerns about you can always contact us at support, but there are really no conspiracy theories to be had in this regard

Edit – Support tickets can take a bit to hear back from if it’s regarding a rejection, what’s the ticket ID?
