Sometimes a thread is started on a site-specific forum for which the appropriate response is more likely to come from personnel on a different site. For example this thread in which a large part of the question was about ThemeForest policy regarding assets, but it was posted in the Activeden forum.
The current forum identification ( the small, low contrast “forum path” displayed high on the page, is often missed or ignored by members adding to the thread.
I propose that every forum post contain a “forum watermark” so every person adding to the thread is unavoidably aware of which marketplace (if any) their post is targeting. eg something like this could be used on the Activeden forum. Other site-specific forums would use their own logo for the watermark
The “All Topics”, “Item Discussion” and “Item Requests” forums would use the the same (perhaps modified) watermark as the site to which they belong (the site the poster was on when starting the thread)
The “All Marketplaces”, “Site Feedback” and “Notices” forums could use the Envato leaf logo.
The “Off Topic” forum could use no watermark at all (or an image of a trash-can
)
Edit: I’ve just discovered that “Site Feedback” posts also only show up in the marketplace site from which they were posted – so my suggestion for the site feedback using the Envato leaf logo is inappropriate – but more to the point, where are we supposed to post feedback and suggestions regarding cross-site issues, like this post?
