Sometimes when I double click a Library movie clip (uninstantiated on the stage) to edit its Actionscript it refuses to appear in the Actions panel. This after I have been editing without problem for days. If the timeline has multiple layers I ensure the one containing the actions is selected but it makes no difference. When this happens the only way I can edit code on the clip is to temporarily drag an instance onto the stage, then I can access it from the tree menu of the Actions Panel.
Generally when this happens I can also just close CS3 and reopen it and I can again access the Library item code by double clicking it, without instantiating the clip on the stage.
Does anyone else using CS3 experience this annoying behavior and if so any solutions?
