Recently I sent a template, but was rejected because of the design. So I interrupted their development (Give your opinion: http://encontrakii.com/Porticles) and decided to create a new project:

What is your opinion about the design?

Note: The background does not repeat itself, it is fixed, is that there was a way to make.

Yeah sorry, I’m with ThemeProvince for this one.

Best thing is to start over, find some inspiration by looking at a lot of themes here, you’ll see the difference of quality, it’s way higher.

Armeani, you will need to put a bit more time into this. The truth is these are the designs of a person who opened Photoshop 15 minutes ago. I know it’s harsh, but I have a feeling you have enough dedication to succeed. Just practice practice practice. The best advice I can give you is try to recreate one of the awesome themes in photoshop (of course, not to re-sell it, but just to understand how it was created). Also buy a psd template from this market place, open it and analyze each element to understand why it is there and what contribution it has in the general layout! After you get an idea about what it takes to make a premium template, you can develop your own style, everything will come naturally.

Best, Gabriela

Well, it is not neccessary to buy PSD template from themeforest. There are thousands of free templates in the internet.

You can find some tuts on webdesign.tutsplus.com

If you want to play tennis, you learn from the big guys :D Free templates in the internet are free for a reason: they are usually low quality

I think you are looking at this in the wrong way.

The fact you cant get your template on Themeforest is irrelevant. The fact nobody would buy it – is.

Surely you can see the difference between even old and poor templates and yours.

Im with girlscancode – assess the best / then try to eclipse it.

Hello girlscancode, echh and cameronferris, thanks for you answer!

Actually it’s been a while since I’ve been using Photoshop, but despite never having done a college of Web Designer as the “big guys”, I think the biggest problem is the inspiration and, as you probably could notice, tried to do something simple, but that really was too much!

Anyway, once again, thanks for the suggestion and I will do what you recommended, I have some templates in PSD , I will see and understand how it works.

Thank you, Armeani

I think my biggest limiter to make a more detailed template is like I do to turn it into HTML /CSS.
