How do you determine where is the missing font in a FLA ? I mean, how do you find the movieclip with the missing font?

There must be an easier way than to go through all the movieclips. That’s killer. :crying:

Hi Andrei,

I’m not sure if that would work but you could use a decompiler to figure out where the textfield is located :)

I think he is referring to a situation when you have a .fla file which upon opening gives “font missing” message but doesn’t give you any information that which textfield in which movieclip is using that particular font reported as missing ;)

@Andrei, I can feel you pain, I don’t know any better solution other than going through each and every textfield :(

I guess there is not other solution, but what i’ve done several times is just change it in the alert message while opening for a really weird one (like icons fonts or any other easy to see) and export the swf. I know is a bit stupid trick, but it has saved me some precious time.

That’s what I mean exactly. The issue is I have my FLA , and it’s not a movieclip that is still used in the website, so it’s no problem if it gives this warning. But I want to remove it, I’ve been through all the mc’s several times, and I didn’t find it. :-)

So Adobe still has some things to finish. How hard would have been to add the name of the movieclip in the warning?! :D

This is the website, by the way: http://dev.vuzum.com/clients/petergabriel/fitz/ Select Tokyo, it has more images.

When it’s the client’s decision (it always is in our case :-) ) we have to use special fonts.

Yeah, but I don’t think it’s used anywhere in the FLA .
