Some good comments both ways
Imo, simply selling something on a stock site doesn’t make you an Entrepreneur in itself, it just means you can make stuff and then let someone else do all the selling for you.
However, the Entrepreneurship comes out when people start doing clever things to increase their sales / drive affiliates here etc
Again, all imo
EDIT : but in general, the thread is more about we as designers/devsl, not as people who’re just selling here.
bitfade saidlol this is how I spent my last month
Developers are, generally, very very bad entrepreneurs. Top of the list being oversized egoes and the ability to spend insane amount of time on things nobody will care about.
hmm.. for a change and to relax from coding, I started making a photoshop item and it seems the same happens – a whole week swallowed with experiment pieces!
My estimated time was 2 days
I believe we do make the best Entrepreneurs – not necessarily the most successful Entrepreneurs though.
Creative people have a tendency to think differently and are better at problem solving than some biz school grads – most creatives are also more comfortable with the erratic and unpredictable risks associated with being an Entrepreneur.
