Hey guys,

I’m pretty much a WordPress beginner. I can set it up and all but have never done anything much more than that. So I’m wondering if any of you have come across a WordPress friendly editor for XML driven Flash files? I’ve come across Kimili and that seems like a good solution for editing FlashVars but I’m more interested in something that could edit a simple XML file WSYIWYG style.

Yeah I probably shouldn’t have used the term WYSYWYG . What I meant was a simple way for a client to edit an xml node without having to worry about xml tags. It could probably even be a simple text file. Could a text file be edited in the native WordPress rich text editor? If so, is there an easy way to accomplish that maybe with some sort of plugin?

What is it that you even want?

From the sounds of it wordpress is quite unrelated to what you want to do.

Do you want a GUI for an XML file?

I want a Flash file whose content can be edited within the WordPress user interface just as easily as someone would write a blog post.

^ It’s a WordPress blog with a Flash component. Normally I’d use the infamous XML Editor over at ActiveDen but I was hoping for a solution that would allow me to edit basic xml text inside the WordPress user interface. There’s got to be some people out there who have done this sort of thing. But if the only solution is to build it from the ground up I’m probably out of luck.

P.S. If someone wants to move this over to AD it would be much appreciated :)

^ Thanks Uncharted. It looks like I need to learn how to build a WP plugin. That Cuber one is a great example to learn from :)
