For the flasher if you going to cross over….

Ok in the last week i try to build a music player base on html5 /js which the main concept is a killer visualization, am i a dreamer or mently distureb? ,i guess so (its out of my scope…. just way to many problems making a good unique spectrum IN HTML5 ), as i was facing so many problem cos` basically JavaScript cannot or don’t want to analyze the current sound spectrum of an audio file + i really can’t get that unity on all browsers…. .

One of the problem for most AS3 coders (less for as2 coders) by shifting to JavaScript you loss the class syntax you love so much(unless you dig timeline coding ).

One of the things that’s tic me i can’t really convert complex sh* i do in flash in pure coding on a class base in to JavaScript cos` really JavaScript is not that far in similarity syntax as to AS (more as2) .

Then i remember there was a guy back in the day name Szablewski great coder, i remember he had a unique spectrum build on pure AS3 and i was amazed when he convert it completely to HTML 5 as i remember his code was base on class syntax in AS3 .

What he did he convert his AS3 classes to MooTools classes and reuse his code ,well its not 100% work flow but it cuts your work a lot.

Personally i found problem in unity since you need to use OGG and mp3 due to HTML 5 restrictions but you can live with it .Html5 with sound is really a problem as to flash simplistic and i don’t see it change + the lack of browser unity (and that won’t change if ever) is just a killer problem when you develop for the HTML 5 for maybe its just me i don know .

Anyway this was made in flash 2-3 years ago i think AS3 …. flash version . .

Tsafi, do yourself a favor , just switch to making wp themes, and make a shit load of money, after that you can experiment with html5 all you want.

+1 yeah, first start with simple things for a living and then face the complexity that no one dared to touch, don’t try the other way! I will never touch the audio area for atleast couple of years.

I hope you will fail with your HTML5 music player (and visualization) , as I wait with one in Flash for approval here as my first item ;D But as I made my mind to move to the html5 and wp themes generally (2 years learning AS3 probably for nothing:D), I encourage you to show your work (demo or so) if you get it finished Cheers:) ...and after looking at provided stuff in the link I’ve got a felling that’s an animation rather than visualization. Likely I am wrong, but who knows. Need to put my hands on mootools for a while and see what’s different with it against jquery…:)

You are right its seem like if you fart a wp template there the gold coin start dropping from your ass but i can’t be a full time envato submission, I have a job that let me move around the world so it will be a big commitment for me to do a shift like that same as i never step into that direction here …. + and this themefores market is just out of control If you ask me i can’t distinguish between a good wp template and a bad one, they have a fix visual pattern in away, my mom gave me a great gift and its visual/photography memory(weirdo ) , i can show you on the last 30 template submission there maybe 8 are copy/paste from a free source over the web include custom script .but really making a wp is a lot of work…. way too un- logic aspect for me to make and be like everyone there .

You are right it is animation attach to the sound bit, but it’s not taking anything from the html5 convert, Also northmantif wp was not logic to me 2 years ago making this web standard and look at this now

//edit: and two words about wp templates. I just start to dive into codex.wordpress.org so in fact I can’t tell about copying stealing and anything violates privacy policies yet. And my words are pure to learn the technology, use it having fun and get some ‘coins’ as you name it. I guess most of us finally look for it here (authors) and not only to show our work to world… I saw somewhere here your thoughts about wp-templates (if I am not wrong that were you) with flashy stuff inside. I see it is very rare stuff (excluding image viewers) so maybe this can give a boost with selling (need to stress fallback to html is a must) I will always be against such giants as cms-es especially for small web agencies etc. You know, we even kill the earth by that – more electricity consumed by proccessors to display your webpage, but who cares when laywers takes your home for unpayed taxes… lol I am going too abstract here…:)
