I really don’t understand how you guys select the free file of the month!
I am a member since November 2008 and submit a file that is sold over 400 times.
And today I am looking at the front page to see that the selected item has only been sold 26 times, submitted by a member since February 2010 and has only ONE item on the marketplace.
This is a poor choice by any words. Why would you select an author with a single item? He has no other items to promote!

actually, i see there 20 June 10 date of submission. from what i remember, the long talks about quality standards already was consumed at that time.

Calm down guys… I think they don’t want to offer your great themes for free because envato would loose money. If they give away themes which don’t sell very well they don’t have loss

Thats not the case because once they told me (like about a year ago) that they would like to choose files that have shown to be successful.

but you gotta consider the exposure that comes for being in the front page…it helps quite a bit with sales…right?

Definitely, its like having frontpage promotion for a month. And selecting a user with single item is meaningless..
