I wonder if it is possible to copy all keyframes in one layer some how and then paste them in microsoft excel? thank you for your time.
Im not sure how you would want to do this?.. If you mean that you have a frame by frame animation, you might want to export it as a png sequence or something, and then import those to excel.
THanks for your response, what I need is the information for each frame. For example, in After Effects I am able to set keyframes to a layer and then copy and paste into excel and data appears in excel I want to be able to do the same in flash.
What kind of data are we talking about? Because I do not think that what you are asking for is something you can do in Flash
I am trying to animate a character mouth so each keyframe in a layer called “mouth” represents a different mouth. Once I finish animating the mouth I would like to copy all those keyframes and paste them into Microsoft Excel once the data is in there I would clean it up and adjust the data so I can transfer it to after effects. I know how to modify the data and make it fit in After Effects all I need is to get the keyframe data in FLash to excel…
would you not be better off going from Flash to After Effects? I’m pretty sure if you have an XFL (uncompressed fla) Project then you can just open it up in After Effects with CS5 +...
I did not know that but sounds that it might work. Let me try that and will let you know. Thank you for your time.
I tried the suggestion to open an XFL in After Effects but AE cannot read the file…. the good thing is that when I save as XFL Flash generates a folder with the same name as the file inside the folder there are some XML files and one of them has all the data I needed all it needs is some clean up and it will be ready for AE. Thanks for your time.
^ that’s exactly what XLF is, a bunch of XML files which you should be able to open in AE
