Hi everyone, I was wondering if Activeden marketplace accepts Haxe Projects for flash deployment

Haxe is an open-source multiplatform language whose syntax is similar to As3 and that supports all flash features and allow deployment for flash/c++(windows) and mobile (android/ios/webOs).

Because of open-source and support of a lot of IDE (flashDevelop/Eclipse/...), it may be beneficial for both developpers and clients.

It’s similar to As3 but it’s not….. :P as2 also similar to JS but it’s not :P .

Try asking support or maybe on CC market they will take it(they have Air there go figure ) …. Better just contact support and ask

This topic has been discussed a couple of times some time ago. I’ve been a great supporter of haXe in the past (I even translated the whole wiki in italian at the time).

However, by its own nature (most of all, a small request from clients), haXe is not well suited for this marketplace, so there are not plans to introduce it.

Tsafi is right, maybe CodeCanyon is more suited for this kind of files (although I still don’t seen a high commercial value at the moment).

haxe project was rejected on CC

We’re sorry, your item XXXX has not been approved for sale on CodeCanyon. This is the reason given by our item inspector:

This File Did Not Meet Our Criteria

Thanks so much for taking the time to submit this item. Unfortunately, due to our current quality standards, your item has been declined.

This item has a nice concept, but CodeCanyon doesn’t accept program generated code. This item appears to be generated from a Flash development program that outputs HTML5 code. I’m sorry to say that I’m rejecting this.

That makes sense, haXe has always been terrible at exporting good and readable javascript.

Hi,

Well, based on the above rejection I really hope that, future HTML generated content from Flash or Edge will not be accepted on the markets (cc and tf).

It won’t, you will really need to be a good flasher and html5 dev` to modify things knowing js will be useless for most generated content from Flash

Me too, :) I said “will not be accepted”, suddenly a huge number of ‘timeline developers’ will be on those markets.

^I know I just reinforce your say.

You know who can be good of that also… people that work with AE here.

But in general the way thing are moving now with flash I don’t think this method of work generated content from Flash to html5 will be successful.

For years what hold 3 party’s in flash like flex, games, Air even FB was the core of flash ,without demand for plain flash base on IDE nothing with hold for too long
