Help installing XML template

So I am very new to Flash/XML. If someone could give me a step by step of the installation process I would be forever grateful!! This is what I have so far..

1. Godaddy account 2. XML website template purchased from active den.. 3. Adobe Flash..

Now when it comes to taking the actual file from download to customization what are the steps?

Do I unzip the file and upload to go daddy? Do I have to change all of PHP my SQL settings? Is there a program to easily customize XML ? Can I really learn how to do this with little knowledge of coding?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Strange for us flasher that is the most easy part, most of us don’t even explained it on the help file , but I fund for some unknown reason many struggle with this issue mostly people that been shock be the coolness of flash but when they get the file its look to them like UFO .

For the basic i can tell you many struggle with the URL path on the upload …so fallow my steps ill try explained it in a dummy way as possible step by step and hopefully other can use it also, and its 10 time easier from WP on the upload .

Unzip your file to your desktop, if you have a slow machine on the zip just light a cigarette and relax until everything is zip out .

Open the unzip folder since it’s a template 99% you will see the main HTML file, first… test it on your machine see that everything work more or less ,usually developer don’t include the same images or sound as the preview but give a dummy sample (in a few steps ill tell you how to change your image ) .

let just ignore if you don’t know what fla is no worry ,but its recommend you will have a flash software ….now take the unzip folder copy it as is again to your desktop.

Select to original folder and clear unnecessary file you can remove all the fla and the external action scrip folder .

*now …. Its OK light 1 more cigarette (i hope you smoke man)name the folder testing upload the full folder to your C panel on your server(we do it for just testing it on your server ) once upload complete go and test via your main HTML that is in the testing folder, that should look something like this.

www.youdomain.com/testing/main.html .

If everything is work OK more or less you know the developer was thinking about a novice user . note that probably the email won’t work, you will need more steps due to php .

OK so we done now? What’s now? You got that right 1 more cigarette .

Now come the hard part for many how to change the image’s text sound atc` ,you do all this via XML (which was in the testing folder you upload ) so just for testing upload your image in to the testing folder better upload it to your image folder on your testing folder you just upload, so you won’t get complicit with the URL path, open the XML and look for the image path and just replace the image name with your image, repeat this proses over and over.

OK now all the mambo jumbo stuff i just told is not the way we do thing in the real world but if you never upload a flash template it’s a good start point to understand how things work cos` you really need to be organize with your upload and move everything to your main domain path.

Hope this help in general any flash submitter here can do it here base on your own specification on the upload, should not take more then 45-90 minutes with custom specification on the upload, but ill tell you we hate do this carp of work .

So what now? Every time i finish a project for a client and i upload everything i pour me a ¾ cup of Jack Daniel’s 1 ice cube and…… you got that right i light a cigarette (which i roll handmade ) that is a pure joy… i hope you can accomplish this ….

so now you see man that is too much how i am going to carry everything? Well after many travels around the world I fund this amazing company in Germany that make cool hand Tobacco Pouches around 20eur(I wonder who made that website );
