How do I change the directory chmod to 755 using square grid template?

Really struggling to find the directory chmod file/area to change the amount to 755 as suggested by wordpress? where and how do I do this? sorry a beginner and slowly getting my head around wordpress!

Try doing it from your ftp client or cPanel.

Was having the same issue – and changing settings in my ftp did nothing. Solved it by deleting everything off my ftp and loading the theme through the “install themes” tab in the wordpress interface. Instuctions for this are in the index.html file in the doc folder of the theme.
