Hey everyone, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be bumping up the HTML Templates approval standards in terms of design and features. The standards for the Specialty Pages category will be bumped up the most. Items submitted for this category will need to have a unique design and offer a solid set of features (colors, Twitter, contact form, etc).
This isn’t going to limit templates to certain layouts (like sliders, tabs, etc). New concepts and fresh designs are always welcome (as they have been) but still need to be well designed.
With an increase in approval standards there will most likely be an increase in authors who disagree with the review decision. If you do disagree, you’re always welcome to discuss it in the forums. However, it will be much more productive if you respond to the review message expressing your thoughts and concerns before posting about it in the forums.
If you have any questions, just let me know.
I’ll back this one up (even if it does mean getting rejected a few times on future products). Higher standards equal better products and more sales.
I will write this on my notes so that I wont forget it.. Good move
