Html5 gallery flash remake

I just finished a gallery in html5, I’ve done the exact same thing with flash a few years back, it is amazing that something like this is possible in html5, I just wanted to share it with you I can officially say goodby to flash

It’s inevitable that browser evolves and will finally be able to accomplish these tasks. It’s actually a good thing when users don’t have to install any plugin and most importantly can see it’s on iOS devices.

The tools you used were written by well known Flash developers though. Let’s be proud that Flashers have the best skills in creating interactive content and animation.

As the fate of Flash, Adobe is who’s to blame. They screwed up and didn’t know what to do with the technology for several years. Sad but things move on eventually, we have to adapt to keep business running.

I totally agree with you, all the blame is on adobe, I am so pissed about the decisions which they made … for me adobe is history.

I don’t know if i can blame Adobe in am not a 5 years old ..i mean the sign’s start from the shifting to AS3 from AS2 6 years ago, we lost tons of as2 flashers on that migration, then the second alarm was when apple block us a week before the lunch of CS5 on the IOS , and the kiss of death for me is when they dump Flex to the Apache that’s was the day i stop working with Flex, and the day they announce they stop flash for mobile that was the day i start looking for other things and abandon the flash platform.

Adobe biggest mistake right now is focusing on flash game platform, they just don’t understand with no true flashers to get there won’t be any flash games… flash is not something you can pick by the way and say OK now i am a flash game developer…

Frankly from 7 month ago i don’t give a F* about flash any more (Rim knows that), well OK i do some Air stuff .

But its amazing the amount of flash dev` i met here over the years some of them are now friend’s, even more amazing what they are doing now …some top seller here quit everything and become a contractor ,the other one quit flash and now teach English and so on….

So why blame Adobe life move on ….

Do we need the same Corporate Memberships ($150/year) to GreenSock if we use the JS library for items that would sell on codecanyon or themeforest? – sorry for the avatar on this forum

I have a flash license but this should apply to the js Tween also, right now the tweening engine is in beta state, I actually fixed some bugs in the tween engine, this was not cool by the way , I do not advice use of TweenMax/Lite until the final release, to many problems…

If you sell it yes you do …. All his stuff when it come Licensing are the same ,it doesn’t say else and i didn’t see the MIT word there . Not like flash I think his JS tween worth every penny you spend …. And there is no way someone can come up with a better js tween, he simple have tons of coding experience on that tween level …

I’ve used four tweening engines including animate from jquery, all I will say is that TweenMax is the s… is the best by far, the performance is amazing, garbage collection is perfect! the only problem is that it is in beta state and there are a lot of bugs but this will be fixed in the final release.

thanx for answers! Yes, indeed it worth every penny, I was stunned by it’s performance compared to jquery animation. I have built a tool that generates html banners and use jquery for animation, now I have to change the whole animation core , but I will buy a license soon.

At the end animate from jquery will be what tweener is for us now … and TweenMax will take over(translate public js scrip into money is a form of art today), then every second person will start to make his own js tween engine history will repeat itself …the wheel of logic
