Man, common, I did not try (am I crazy, I wanna make money here :) not be banned ), I was working for a client how had a referral system and they wanted some transaction system like banks have, if you use that is almost impossible not to see a problem and track it down.

I didn’t realize it until now.. I always prefer secure connections let it be an ftp if there is sftp available I always choose that.. I often try writing https just to see if it works.. Can’t believe envato doesn’t have ssl yet.. Let’s wait for it :)

Same goes for this thread – bumping such an old thread without much relevant additional information is a reason to lock it up.

If you read the blog article, you’ll notice SSL had nothing to do with this leak and would in no way have prevented it from taking place. Personally I support the motion of getting HTTPS on these kind of sensitive logins, but it’s just not relevant in this discussion.
