Could you recommend me some awesome book about dealing with clients, mostly international ones? Especially if it is about our field (web design).
Handling phone calls, cultural differences, business etiquette/social strategies on the web, cliche situations, saying No, saying Yes, common difficulties in negotiations etc. I know that this comes with experience, but I guess there are books to help me fill some gaps.
Treat with the same attitude they have. And if their attitude is not pleasing, first try to be nice, if it continues, explain the proper attitude, if not change the card Here is your book :))
Yeah experience is the best book you can get
OK, if you can not recommend any book on my request, let just leave the thread die on itself, please.
I have experience, but I also have a question and it is in the first post. Thank you for replying so far, of course! I usually love discussions, but I am very keen on the topic this time.
Read “Design Professionalism” by Andy Rutledge: http://designprofessionalism.com/
Then wait for Mike Monteiro’s “Design is a Job”: http://www.abookapart.com/products/design-is-a-job
I can’t wait for Mike Monteiro’s book and “Design Professionalism” is almost 100% close to what I need.
