I think Envato should put an upload limit for each author. There were a dozen OXYLUS files on the homepage some week ago depriving space to all the other authors. That is not fair considering the queue is always full.
+1 yes I think that too. There should be a limit for each month and a limit for total files.
So maybe 10 files per month and max. 100-150 total files in his portfolio.
Otherwise we can call activeden as oxylusden soon

We should just ban OXYLUS out of this marketplace. But keep the files. And divide the profit between all authors. Who’s with me?

this has come offtopic a little… OXYLUS has a great portfolio which spreads across a wiiiide range of files to cater for as many peoples needs as possible… why are you knocking them? They are the number one author here right now for that exact reason… stop bashing and get coding to give them some competition…
I do agree with Bitfades comment, older files should be removed. If a file doesn’t sell more than X in a month or couple of months it should be removed… being able to boast nearly 10,000 files is not a good thing… I honestly think we could cut 50% of that without many noticing…
Raise your game guys, all the time.
Back on Track…..I think Activeden is dying because of the success of the past.
There are a lot of great files on here but too many cr*p ones too.
The biggest problem they will have is that many of the people who spent a lot on this website have most of what they need now (News readers, Video Players, etc) so Files have to be really exceptional now to get my interest.
There are 2 ways to sell to the public – Gain New Customers or Sell More to existing Customers. Existing Customers like me are not biting.
I will also state for the 100th time that Licences prevent a lot of purchases too…...hands up anyone who has sold an Extended Licence?
Customers here buy for 3 reasons…..We are Too Lazy/Not enough time to learn Flash, Files are Great and they are CHEAP .
Nobody is going to buy a file with a one time use for 1k+....it just isn’t going to happen.

You don’t get it. Quality files do not always sell well. If you take a look on the most sold items there are just crappy sliders or rotators out there.
I do not have anything against OXYLUS , he’s a professional author and doing a very good business. Envato should just keep things fair for everyone, avoiding all that flooding in the queue.
I do also agree about the marketplace wiping. Too much useless items out there, this means wasting buyers time. A basic script would do the job and you’ll just have to alert the authors that the disabled items are worthless.
I think flash templates and flash components should be on different sites.
Hey 50
I think that’s a good idea. Separating the full template from standalone modules.
Cheers Lester
It would be completely unfair to limit any one person in any way. If your sales are low its ultimately down to you alone. Don’t like it? what’s stopping you from doing the same?
Having the same quality levels as themeforest would help a lot. There is simply way to much junk on here.
Everyone has being talking about this for a long time, but AD has been too slow to act and now we have 400+ very average banner rotators (for instance) making this site a real pain to use and sell on.
Chuck
People don’t just look for templates, I bet standalone modules sell more than full templates. The reason being is that not everybody uses flash for their site meaning full flash templates.
A lot of people use flash modules for html, joomla, wp so i think if you separate the stand alone modules from the full templates than that will give the buyer another choice.
I thought about this before, I think it would be a good idea to have separate pages for these reasons.
Cheers
