I am wondering if you have received an email saying that “Your file was appearing in multiple warez sites and for a fee of $49, your items will be removed from all warez sites and the same could be done in 72 hours. However, they need your Personal info, Physical Address and phone no.
Anyone tried this? Is it legit?

i think is not a scam, I have received a similar email about one of my files. I have checked the links and my file is there. There is a lot files from other users.
They need all your personal information because I guess they send DMCAs, and this information is necessary to send a DMCA . I usually send my own DMCAs and not give my information to anyone.

The person who sends the emails through GraphicRiver profiles, simply offers its services to send the DMCAs for you.

Scam in my opinion, that person could deliberate put your scripts on the web, and then offer his services to remove them, DMCA is really slow when comes for such things, and requires a lot of personal informations from YOU the author, not from someone from the web, so again, I strongly believe it’s a scam.
Best option? Fill the complains by yourself to DMCA (as I do), and wait for a response, usually it’s a positive one.
