(Locked) Logos Category Live!

Hey guys,

The logos category is officially live! For more info on the category itself and the competition, check out this thread.

I’d also like to introduce PixelLogo, who’s been a huge help in getting this category on board and filled with files. Thanks, Pixellogo!

This is a really exciting new area we’re entering and I look forward to seeing what our creative authors will come up with!

ok, let’s say those things can be called logos. but what about the specifics?

normally items get rejected if we don’t give detailed information about the files. now what am i actually byuing for 29$?

then, seems all those thin..coff coff..logos are missing some important notes. not sure how it say it in english but i would say “configuration”

i mean:

• black/white version and reverse version
• minimum size
• size tests (100%..70%..50%..and so on)
• info print (color codes)
• used font
• white space

and more..

in the end..the 1 million dollar question appears again: what is the difference between these “shapes” and other normal “shapes” already being sold on GR? perhaps the text?

All in all, I would surmise that:

If I Create a file containing the letter “A” with a 3d “SPHERE” behind it, and a “ SAMPLE COMPANY” text name below it – it could be used as a Logo.

Therefore, I could also create that very same layout containing a “B”, and a “C”, “D”, “E” and on and on, “A-Z”

I would have 24 variations available for $29.00 each.

The Only REAL Editable Item within the file described above would be the “ SAMPLE COMPANY” text name below it.

Possibilities are endless. But as stated elsewhere; “Someone who wants a Quick Logo”

Currently there doesn’t seem to be here any License Agreement which allows for the (©)Copyright (™)Trademark, or (®) Registration of the LOGO TEMPLATE .

HOPEFULLY , IF THE ABOVE IS TRUE . . . Could the item be removed and sold to a “BUYER” for the purpose of (©)Copyright (™)Trademark, or (®) Registration of the LOGO TEMPLATE ?

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

A 3D render of a cylinder with a blue letter in front of it is not a logo. The fact that you’ve accepted 26 of them, one for each letter of the alphabet (as seperate files!) is even worse.

Similarly a silver square with a letter in it (again, 3D rendered) is not a logo. The fact that you’ve accepted 26 of them is even worse.

I’m going to just pretend this category isn’t here…

I agree silenceplease , As a Contest, One man submitted 1200 works, accounting for 40 pages, I have not seen any Contest like this number of works. (I am not against pixellogo, I doubt the rules of the Contest )
