As some of you may know, in order to buy an item directly from an author without having to deposit money into your Envato account, you “must register with Paypal” if you don´t already have an account with them.
Very time consuming due to registration form, confirming e-mail, and last but not least, confirming your credit card, which means they first have to charge you a test amount, let´s say, $1.94, so that later you must check your credit card balance and still confirm some data just to get your credit card “accepted” before any purchase is made. By the time all this process is over, I ask myself… why?
When depositing into your Envato account, no need to register, just type in your name, credit card number and BOOM , you´re loaded up to go shopping!
Now, that´s what I call modern times. Fast and straight to the point.
So why not provide the same process when purchasing from author?
I guess wasting all that time with Paypal beaurocracy is the price you pay if you don´t want to load the famous $20 minimum which Envato requires.
Good move by Envato´s strategic brains? Who knows! All I know is that saving $2 when buying with “pre-loaded” money I must confess was an interesting move, but they didn´t have to go as far as not allowing us the same “fast conditions” when buying directly from authors.
CORRECTION : Oh man, now even depositing into your Envato account you must register with Paypal!
So I guess no more fast and modern times.
Booooo! -100 for making people register with Paypal.
-1000 for me now, let it be known that it is Paypal who is now enforcing credit card verification and not Envato´s decision to complicate things.
My apologies. Too much vodka here
Cheers!

If the edit post option was working at the time I would have gladly edited everything in only 1 post.

Yes, they can do whatever they want, even ignore my feedback, but noone can stop me from giving my opinion, as long as I keep it within the forum rules… and I did.
By the way… the typical “take it or leave it” response is a bit getting old, don´t you think?
