It might sound strange, but did you try to disable cufon ? I had some problems with IE8 slowing everything and when I disabled cufon, it was fine

Cufon disable…. the problem is still there….
Nivo slider removed…. the problem is gone….
There is no help about that in nivo slider support website….
Need help !! quickly please !!!
Did you make sure Nivo isn’t conflicting with any of the other jQuery scripts?
Also, have you tried configuring Nivo with only the minimum options needed? I see you have empty callback functions at the end.

I removed all no-used options…
Anyone can test it under IE8 for me please ?
I wait an answer..
Many thanks !!!
Well, it works, but only for a short time
Sad part is I don’t get any error, since it still freezes… I’ll dig deeper and see what I can find.

Yes !!
I don’t see any error inside the code !! It’s not the first time i use this plugin and…. grrrr !! here it doesn’t works fine !! ....
well… thank a lot Digitalimpact !! i appreciate your help !
Until I or someone else spots the issue, try and take them out one by one, in different combinations. Also, make sure nothing’s conflicting (for example, use jQuery instead of $)
Sorry I can’t be of more help atm…
freezes in my IE8 too..
do you have try to activate/deactive other js plugin, like the easing plugin that you use there?
and yes like digitalimpact said, try use jQuery instead of $,
also in your custom.js , i think it will better if you make those functions more noConflict instead of call the ”$(document).ready” for each function, try to minimalize the conflicts with some of methods, I always use the method that used by Wordpress in their admin panel,
(function($){
function a(){
//some of code
}
function b(){
//some of code
}
function c(){
//some of code
}
$(document).ready(function(){
//call your functions here
a();
b();
c();
})
})(jQuery);
hope this help
good luck
