Not-For-Profit contest - pls help

Hello guys! I am organizing a charity contest to help provide children from Africa with clean drinking water. I didn’t know who to turn to and since I’ve seen people having similar threads here, I thought why not give it a try. I’m sure there are a lot of good people in our community and I really hope we’ll be able to make a difference. I wasn’t also quite sure where to put this thread so big apologies to the mods if they have to move it. Thanks again and look forward to hearing from you!

So how do we know that the donations go where they’re supposed to go?

The donations don’t even reach me, they go straight to the site justgiving.com…and it has a world reputation so don’t worry…(you can google it as well). Come on guys, seriously, noone?

The thing is, I just saw some famous people(who shall remain anonymous) on twitter trying to raise money for various causes using this site. And I though why not give it a try myself, I’ve never done such thing and I thought it’s time to do something good. However, the replies here just confirm my initial concerns that for such initiative more or less you need a certain level of ‘public exposure->public trust’. What do you guys think?

well it sounds like a scam. but i know their are childeren out their that does need water and food .. i do what i can in my own community.. im not a rich person.. but i do give what i can..
