Any buyer, requesting help with a Flashden file on the forums should have an option to “expose” the files they have purchased so that freelancers can easily verify the file was purchased on Flashden before offering their services.

On the “Downloads” page of a buyers private profile there could be a checkbox marked “Expose my purchase of this file”, then on that users public profile page the “Downloads” page (normally not visible to the public) could be implemented, showing only the files they have currently exposed.

I think for privacy reasons only files that are from a certain author should be visible to that author. For the rest +1

i think the whole point is that freelancers and people in the forum are helping when the file is stolen, and cannot know otherwise.

If they are asking for help publicly, they are already acknowledging that they have it, all this will do is prove they bought it so no misunderstandings take place. And it’s deliberate, so its only if they want to reveal they bought it so they can get help on a forum or with freelancers.

Maybe non-buyers and non-authors should not be able to leave posts on the forum. right now anyone can open account and request support on pirated files or pose as ‘freelancers’ offering help only to disappear once they’ve been emailed the files.

might kill the community a bit. Just ask buyers to send message from your den form. No one on the forum is going to help anyone without a buyers badge.

well we just going to see the same suspect posts over and over again on the forum…security needs to be stepped up a notch.

In any case this is more a marketplace than a community… by the way I think that a smaller community with an higher quality of posts wouldn’t be a bad idea…

+1 to limit the forum to buyers and authors

+1.
Plus, maybe buyers who ask for support should have proof that they’ve bought the file in discussion. For example, in the Help section of forums, there can be a button “Need help with a Flashden item” and they would have to enter the code of the product (every product could have a code, like a serial number). And if the code is correct, they could post the thread, if not no. And in the post there should be a link to the actual file, so we can all see that the file he needs help with is the actual file he entered the code for.

yup and most of the community is on the file pages anyway so a little security on the forums won’t effect the community too much.
