It crossed my mind today it would be great to have like quality badges. Take average price of authors projects and in range of 5-10 is rooky, 10-15 good…25-30 pro etc….
Just a thought…
Nah, wouldn’t be fair for authors who specialize in stock footage or similar. There are different skill sets too, but everyone should have a fair go regardless of skill set. Can let the customer decided I think.

You’re saying quality does not apply to stock footage (or similar)? If I’m just misinterpreting your words, I think the idea is great: badges that represent a certain level/average of quality. This could guide buyers on a better track; I had already read this idea on themeforest.net and I must say I think it could succeed.

This is a better system:
Level 1 (AE Apprentice) – $0 ~ $10 Level 2 (AE Connoisseur) – $11 ~ $20 Level 3 (AE Rockstar) – $20 ~ $30 Level 4 (AE Legend) – $30 and up
The systems is not quality based but complexity based, similar to how pricing works. Like we find in other stock websites…

Nice thoughts although what happens to people that make 2 minutes long very simple but great looking projects that end up being $20 – $25 ?
And there are people that make very complex high quality work that is 10 – 20 second long and sells in the range for $12 – $17
What i am trying to say is, defining a authors status based on the prices of his projects really doesn’t make any sense in my opinion.
A rookie could make a 2minute $20 project but would receive a ’’promotion in status’’ while the expert veteran makes something smaller (but way superior in quality) that is sold for less and does not receive that status.
As i said, i like the idea but there should be very very strict rules to achieve a badge/special status for work. And not just based on how much a project goes for.
I’d think its a good and bad idea, because some might find offended to basically say out of ten their work is rated 1
Its not much constructive criticism

Big fish eat small fish… Nice idea but what about new authors? I mean when someone come to buy product they will already know as Daniel mention LEVEL 1 , LEVEL 2…. Bad quality i don’t need to open this portfolio… Think about it…
Isn’t that basically the star rating? On the profile it would say the overall

It’s not about status Murat, is about pricing. Ask revo. They got the same system. Now, pricing here is different.
Anyways, we are going to see awesome improvements soon around here.

+1
The badge is a great idea but it really can’t depend on the price of the projects.
